MODEL : PCM (06-06)
Operation and Maintenance Instructions :
Polyhydron make Pressure Control modules are very robust in construction and require very little attention from user. However it is necessary that following points must be kept in mind while storage, operation, commissioning and maintenance.
Storage :
During storage take care that this valve is properly covered and well lubricated. This will prevent ingress of dust and dirt in working mechanism and during commissioning it will be easy to install the same.
Operation :
Pressure Control Module is an integrated hydraulic circuit basically designed to control double pumps of high-low system.
To begin with both the low pressure high flow and the high pressure low flow pumps are ON and the discharge of both the pumps are combined to get one single high flow, with the system working at pressure as set on the unloader valve.
As the system pressure rises above the unloader valve setting the low pressure flow is unloaded to tank a solenoid (optional) is provided on the unloader valve to vent the low pressure pump flow to the tank and so only the discharge of the high pressure pump flows through the system the pressure of which is maintained by the high pressure relief valve.
Commissioning :
The points to be paid attention to during commissioning are the port connections the letters for which are punched on the manifold
Maintenance :
To enhance the proper working of the valve it is necessary to attain the following points. :
The PCM needs no major attention but may be periodically inspected for the power working of the cartridge valve poppets.
The oil must be of prime quality and clean as per ISO code 16/13 and must be changed periodically. Contaminated oil may clog the orifices provided in the manifold thus impairing its proper working.
The oil temperature must be within the specified range i.e. -20 °C to +70 °C.
