MODEL : DLS (Size 10)
Operation and Maintenance Instructions :
Lever operated pressure holding directional control valve require very little attention from the user provided the valve is operated within the specified conditions. However following guide lines be followed while storage, operation, commissioning and maintenance.
Storage :
For storage see that the valve is properly covered and well lubricated. This will prevent the ingress of dust and dirt in working mechanism of the valve and it will be easy to install the same.
Operation :
Pressure holding DCV is designed for single acting cylinders which are supposed to hold pressure. When in neutral condition i.e. vertical position of the lever port P is opened to port A. Port A may be used as a pressure port or connected to port P of another pressure holding DCV i.e. the valves can be connected in series for independent multiple single acting cylinder operation. When the lever is pushed forward, port A is blocked and port P gets connected to port B. The oil flows via the check valve. This forms the forward stroke of the cylinder. During curing cycle the DCV is brought to neutral condition. The poppet type check valves ensure perfect pressure holding. During return stroke of the ram the spool is pushed forward (the lever being pulled towards the operator). The decom-poppet opens prior to main poppet opening thus decaying the high pressure. The valve is available as spring centered or detent type. An optional Pressure regulating valve is mounted on the B line of the valve (see datasheet for details).
Commissioning :
Following points be remembered while commissioning the valve;
Inlet line is to be connected to port P and port A and port B form the service ports, port B being connected to single acting cylinder while port A being used for connecting multiple single acting cylinder independently. Port C is provided for connecting a pressure regulating valve. Pressure holding DCV may be also supplied with a optional Relief valve. Port G may be used to check the pressure at B line.
Maintenance :
Lever operated pressure holding DCV does not need any major attention, but to ensure its efficient working and long life it is necessary that following points be kept in mind.
The oil must be of prime quality and clean as per ISO code 16/13.
The oil must be periodically changed. Use of contaminated oil may cause faster spool wear leading to excessive leakage and reduced life.
The oil temperature be within specified range i.e. -20 °C to +70 °C.
